JSK has been established in April 1959 as nation wide industrial association aiming for the contribution to the overall technological progress and the development of the manufacturing industry of Saw blades and Knives.

JSK was organised by joining two associations together, namely, Japan Woodworking Band Sawblade Association, and Japan Industrial Knife Association.

JSK consist of top manufacturing companies and individuals who are involved in producing bandsaw blades, circular saw blades and knives for industrial use. In addition, major material suppliers and product distributors are supporting members.

JSK has been carrying out various activities along the annual plan having the periodical divisional and committee meetings. Furthermore, special committee meetings, open discussions, and research activities etc. are to be conducted along time to time requirements.
